into this channel as one of the steps taken to prevent a recurrence
of the famous flood of 1991. On the north side of the bridge from which
this photo was taken were thousands of squatter residents even late in the
1990s, but this is no longer tolerated. Click

everything from buttons to boat anchors.
The Transportation Center (Bus terminal is inadequate) is the place to catch a ride to hundreds of places by anything on wheels, from luxury bus to donkey cart. It is hidden behind the ferry terminal in the center. The conveniently located Don Felipe Hotel is on the right. |
